Happy Friday friends! Believe it or not, this is the last weekend of October! We’re now in the throws of Fall and Daylight Savings Time will be ending a week from now. That means shorter days for many and increased busyness for the Holidays. As always, if you didn’t have the time to check out the blog posts on Blogelina this week, you can do so below:
Besides the usual blog posts, we also have the “My Blogging Space” Event – Share What it Looks Like Where You Blog special event which is wrapping up very shortly, so if you’ve not submitted your information for that event your time is running short. 🙂
As I shared last week, we’ll be adding in a few more posts to the blog design series, specifically looking at pictures and how to use them to communicate a certain message on your blog as well as for specific blog posts. We’ll also be adding a few blog posts on an always pertinent topic for many bloggers and writers – writer’s block. There are few things as frustrating as sitting down to a blank screen and being unable to come up with some solid post ideas. The nice thing is that there are many ways to overcome writer’s block, and it’s always nice to have a few more weapons in your arsenal to attack it.
As it is every week, it’s hard but fun to narrow down all of the blog posts I read to a few of my favorites. There is no grand theme to the ones I selected, but all have the underlying theme of improving your content and growing your blog. If you’re looking for some weekend reading, you’ll be sure to enjoy some of my favorite blog posts from the week. Have a great weekend everyone!

Tips for Getting the Most out of Your Content on Blogging Pro
This article at Blogging Pro hit the nail on the head this week. In the ever changing landscape created by Google in the blogging space we’re forced to deal with maximizing our content. Of course that means doing some level of SEO work, but it also means writing quality content. Having quality content can mean a number of things, but it really boils down to writing for your reader and not a bot. Yes, SEO is important, but rich, in-depth articles are what takes the cake – at least in this humble bloggers opinion.
