May Income Report & June Blogging Goals: Big Changes In Store For Blogelina Readers!

This post may contain affiliate links.

I’m super excited to be working in the upcoming weeks to add a more personal touch to Blogelina.  One way that I plan to do that is to start sharing monthly income reports and blogging goals & plans.  I have a couple of reason for doing this – one, I sincerely hope it will encourage you to see what is possible with YOUR blog and two, because I need some accountability!

My productivity in the past couple of months has been a LOT lower than I would like it to be so my hope is that by sharing my monthly blogging plans with you, I’ll be more focused to actually get those things done.

That’s a big struggle I’ve had lately – I have SOO many ideas rolling around in this head of mine for what we can do to better help bloggers through Blogelina.  And they’re all amazing ideas!  BUT… I only have so much time to spend blogging each day and my amazing idea to time ratio is way off.

Can you relate at all?

Have you found any solutions for finding focus?  I’d love to hear them in the comments below!

Anyway, I’m super excited about the ideas that I’ll be focusing on in June (you can read more about them below) and for the new changes coming to Blogelina!

Blogging Plans For June 2016:

Blog To Biz Hive E-Course – I’m SUPER excited to be a part of Melyssa’s course.  I love checking out new trainings and learning more ways to not only grow Blogelina, but also to help other bloggers grow their blogs.  Melyssa has seen amazing success with her blog – and in a short time, too – so I’m excited to learn from her!  How much fun would it be to take the course together?  Want to?  CLICK HERE to register and then let me know that you’re in!

Weekly eNewsletter – I LOVE tips and ideas that are short, to the point, and easy to apply – BUT give me some great results.  I’m pumped to start offering a weekly enewsletter to Blogelina subscribers that will hopefully provide just such information.  PLUS, we’re going to be taking subscriber questions – and actually answering them – in each week’s newsletter.  So, if you’re looking for actionable content you can actually apply to your blogging, be sure you’re on the list for Blogelina updates!  P.S. I’m going to be giving this eNewsletter planner a try to help me stay organized and on track.

Monthly Blogging Reports – I’m excited to start posting monthly about what’s working here at Blogelina and what we’re working on – all in the hopes that it will give you some insight into what it takes to run a successful blog – and to help inspire you to see the possibilities!  Also, I think I need some accountability to help me be more productive.

Launch “Conquer WordPress” Training Program – We get TONS of requests for help with WordPress.  We’re putting together a training program to walk you through how to use your WordPress blog.  I run into so many people who are actually afraid to really use their WordPress blogs to the full potential because they don’t want to “break anything”.  This training will help take that fear away and give you the confidence you need to use your blog the way it was meant to be used!  Plus, we’ll go over things like Optimizing your blog for SEO and for speed, making sure your blog is user-friendly, and finding ways to make WordPress work FOR you and actually make your blogging easier.  Interested in joining us?  CLICK HERE to get on the waiting list for all the updates!

Improve My Email Management – Working through all the emails that come through inbox is a HUGE drain on my time.  I’m excited to be looking into a couple of tools this month that will hopefully help me be able to keep from spending so much time in my email.  I’ll keep you posted on what I find!

My Favorite Finds This Past Month:

Blog To Biz Hive Course – Seriously, like I mentioned above, I’m SUPER excited about this course!  Here’s just a little of what the course will teach:

  • Specific systems that Melyssa used to grow her blog to $500,000 last year
  • Rapidly grow your blog with fresh strategies
  • Email growth hacks to boost your traffic AND your income
  • The strategies you need to create a (more) profitable blog over the next few months

The course is only available until June 14th – so, if you’re wanting to take your blog to the next level, don’t delay joining!  If you try Melyssa’s systems and they don’t work, she offers a 60-day money-back guarantee.

SendOwl – I get asked a lot of questions about how to sell products online.  It’s by far one of the most profitable ways to make money blogging BUT all the tech stuff of actually getting set up to sell can get in the way for a lot of people.  Which is why I LOVE SendOwl.  It’s super easy to set up your products and you can even set up an affiliate program to boost your sales even further.  If selling online is in your blogging plan, be sure to give SendOwl a try!  Want to see SendOwl in action?  It’s what we’re using to sell over at Blogfetti.com.

  1. I have taken quite a bit of time off from blogging lately to deal and heal with some major life changes. I’m finally feeling like I can hit the keyboard again! Posted my first “real” post last night.
I’m working on a content calendar – at least having themed days.
    Cheers!

  2. Finding focus is a problem for me to so I have no advice 🙂 but I wanted to put in the comments that people should use you to transfer their blog if they’re looking for that. You did such a great job and took a HUGE stress off my shoulders. I still have no idea how you did it, but it was perfect…lol! I love seeing income reports as it’s motivating and neat to see where people monetize. Thanks for your work and blogging help. I’ve had several people ask me how my switch from Blogger to WordPress went, so I’m writing a post as we speak about it and will definitely be sharing your awesome, and affordable, work!

  3. I’ll have to check out the 7 day blogging traffic challenge that looks perfect for me! After taking a few weeks off for a mastectomy I’m back on track with regular blogging and even getting a post or two ahead (gasp). I’ve had tons of extra traffic through sharing my surgery experience and I want to build on that momentum…so thinking about how to keep up with social media is a big focus for me this month.

    • We’re so glad to hear that you are back and feeling well enough to write! 🙂 Social media is a fantastic place to share out your content – good luck w/ increasing your traffic, and for continued better health!

  4. I’m working on breaking goals into smaller tasks so I can accomplish them. For June I want to finish my “about me” page, set-up my social media profiles and get Sumome up functioning on my site.

    • Those are great goals, Krystal! And, I’m so with you on making goals simple. I tend to WAY over-complicate things which is why I’m excited for this monthly post series – it’ll help me narrow down exactly what it is I want to accomplish – or, at least, that’s my hope. 😉

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!

  5. Love your input. I’m a relatively new blogger with less than 100 subscribers, but a very loyal reader base with 20-70 shares per post. What would be the top 3 things for new bloggers to do after writing good content? I am not on a blog directory yet, but do comment on other blogs. Seems much of your content lately is focused on those with high enough #’s to monetize already. Also, I’d love to hear where bloggers best bet is to find virtual assistants. Thanks.

    • Jena, thanks for commenting! The best way that I have found for finding reliable assistants has actually be through my readers. If you have readers who have been following along with your blog for a while and have been active in commenting and promoting it already – they could be great fit for reaching out to see if they’re interested in an opportunity to join your team! 🙂 If you’re looking for a place to start, Jillian is a part of the Blogelina team right now and she is amazing!

  6. Hey Krystal, I look forward to reading your monthly reports. Yours is the third such report I’ve read this week, and a few days ago I wrote in my journal my first blog assessment and goals for next month.
My blog traffic is developing slowly, but I managed to launch my course last week, and I’ve been keeping up with a weekly blog post scheduled for the last two months. I’m now also focusing on building my Twitter following because Twitter brings a good amount of traffic. The monthly reviews, both reading and writing them, are going to be very useful reflective tools for me. I can now more consciously look at my blog related stats and see how I’m doing, and what I could be focusing more on.
Sorry for writing so much here, but it’s great to follow a few bloggers who inspire me to stay motivated. Thanks.

    • Thank you so much for your kind comment! It means a lot to me and I’m so glad to hear that this report was inspiring. I completely agree with you in looking forward to these monthly reports being a great way to track what is and isn’t working in my blogging strategies. Congratulations on your new course – I’d love to check it out if you can share the link!

      • Hi Tanya, thanks for asking. Since my site is about Mac automation applications, my course is about a really useful application called, BetterTouchTool. With BTT you can trigger menu items and perform lots of other actions using finger gestures on your trackpad or MagicMouse

If you interested, contact me through email and I will set you up with a 50% coupon.

I’m using Gumroad to host the course, but I just learned about Teachable via Melyssa Griffin’s recommendation. I might host my next course on there, but I need to research it more.

And btw, I’m thinking about signing up for Melyssa’s course, but I need to think again tonight. Too much on my plate.

Thanks so much for responding back.
