I’ve known about and been using Twitterfeed.com for some time now to send my blog updates to my Twitter and Facebook accounts. Lately, as I’ve started working to update those accounts with all the helpful and fun posts I’ve been finding around the blogosphere, I decided that there HAD to be some way to be able to update the status in both my Twitter account and Facebook accounts at the same time. I don’t know about you, but I do NOT have the time to be posting updates twice!
Upon searching, I actually found a few different ways to update both accounts at once. The one that I’ve chosen to use, at least for the time being is Selective Twitter. The reasons I chose Selective Twitter include:
- it’s FREE!
- it’s very easy to install and use
- you can be selective about which Tweets you want posted to your Facebook account
To install and begin using Selective Twitter
- Make sure you’re logged into your Facebook page account
- Go to Selective Twitter
- Enter your Twitter ID
- When you have a tweet that you want posted to your Facebook account, simply add #fb to the end of the tweet
It’s that easy! And I don’t know about you, but each little thing that makes blogging a little simpler is a big thing in my book.

Excellent app. I set it up right away though I haven’t tried just yet. Thank you for your great tip!
I’ve found it to work really well – hope you do, too, Merry!
I actually use hootsuite. I can have up to 5 different social media accounts all in one place for free and within the twitter account, I can see different streams at the same time. Same goes for all your social media accounts.
I also found an app to use with chrome that gives me the option to just post something while I’m on a page or having the thought, and it will auto link to the page I’m on.
I can also schedule tweets and updates for later.
