Happy Friday everyone! It’s hard to believe that another week has passed us by and that we’re now looking at mid-August being here next week. If you read our roundup post last week, you know the point of these posts is to highlight some of the best of the blogosphere in terms of blogging tips and tricks. Whether it be related to SEO tips or blog design, we like to showcase posts that can be of help to many. There were some great blog posts this week and have narrowed them down to five of my favorite posts.
As I mentioned last week, we’re doing a mini-series on blog design each Tuesday. If you’ve not been able to read this week’s post, you can do so here. Blog design can be as simple or as difficult as you want to make it and there are numerous things to think of in relation to it. This week we looked at designing your blog by using themes and the many options you have. What other items would you like to see covered in relation to blog design? Leave your questions or requests in the comments section below and we’ll take a look at adding that to the mini-series.

I definitely want to use a free theme from WordPress, but can’t find one that fits me! I thought I found one I liked, but after I installed it, I found out you can’t change the font on the blog name! And it’s hideous! Is there a way to change fonts on themes, or be able to tell which ones you can change before you install them? Also, when you install them, are you installing them to your computer, or just to your site?I don’t want a bunch of themes on there taking up space on my computer. Thanks for your help!
Renate, unfortunately, with the free themes you really tend to get what you pay for. You can customize them but it takes a pretty good knowledge of coding to do so. You install them on your site – not your computer.
