Whether you’re a newbie, or you’ve been blogging for a long time, there are always opportunities to learn more about blogging. There’s so much information about blogging tutorials, tips, and tricks. It’s hard to keep up.
To be effective, bloggers need to stay current on best practices. Finding the time to study and learn about new developments in the blogging world can seem overwhelming. There are so many choices, and it’s hard to tell which ones will arm you with the information you need to take your blog to the next level.
There are some ways you can incorporate learning into your daily routine. By making use of small bits of time here and there, you can end up learning a lot.
How to Make Time to Learn About Blogging
- Listen while you work. Listen to podcasts or audiobooks while you do mindless tasks like folding laundry, cooking, or even exercising. You get to kill two birds with one stone, and it makes the time go by faster.
- Watch webinars and online classes. If they’re recorded, you can watch then in your “down time” or during a time of day when you know you’re not as productive.
- Instead of setting aside time to read, just read when you’re waiting for something else to happen. Keep a book in your purse or car, and read while you’re waiting to pick your kids up at school.
- Store posts you want to read on Evernote. That way you can access them from your mobile device or your computer. When you have some downtime, you can browse through the articles you saved to read.
There is no end to the amount of blogging advice floating around the internet. While it’s good to keep learning, it’s also good to step back and reflect on what you’ve learned. If you’re always taking in new information, it’s difficult to find time to apply what you’ve learned. Every once in a while, take a break from information input, and allow yourself to ponder and creatively apply new information.

Similar to the Evernote idea, I created a “Blog” folder in my email. I keep articles, tips, and how-to resources in this folder. I can quickly access information knowing all the info I need is in one folder!
That’s a great idea!! Evernote is a fantastic resource!
Thanks a lot for the useful information.

You’re very welcome!
When I come across a post I want to read, I pin it to my Pin Now, Read Later board on Pinterest. I catch up on reading these posts a couple times a week. This seems to work better for me than reading them as I find them.

That’s a great idea, Terri! I’m with you – I love having a good chunk of time to just devote to reading to learn. Thanks for commenting!
Thank for Information.Your website is good. Thanks again.
I agree the need to take action on what you learned, not going after training after training. Personally I now that is so hard.

It can be hard, Mary – especially when there is SO much info out there to absorb! It can help to remember that even ONE small action in the right direction is still a step forward…
Useful article information.
Love this! Blogging (or finding the time to blog!) is one of the toughest things I find. It’s also easy to procrastinate and read about blogging, rather than actually blog! Ha 🙂
usefull infromation for new bloggers….many new bloggers ony write articles then they worry about their visitors because they lost thier visitor beacuse they do not wants to learn more anything.
