Over the past few months here at Blogelina we’ve discussed different ways to make money blogging. The beauty of making money from blogging is that there seems to be an infinite number of ways you can make a nice income from it. A lot of it comes down to your personality, what you can offer, and providing solutions to readers’ problems. If you’ve not read any of our past posts about making money blogging, you can catch up below:

Grow Your Blogging Empire
Admittedly, this is a more advanced approach to make money blogging, but it’s a great one none the less. I’ve mentioned before the benefit of starting other blogs on top of your main one and it really can be a good method to making more money blogging. Yes, it does take time and a lot of work to monetize a blog, but the nice thing is that it can provide you with another stream of income.
Now, I am not suggesting you blog 24/7, but automate what you can and outsource where necessary. There can be cost with that, but you have to spend money to make money and if you’re wanting to make money from blogging this is a great way to go about it.
Be a Consultant
A fringe benefit of building up a successful blog is that it really can become a portfolio of your capabilities, experience and personality. Many bloggers have turned this into an opportunity by becoming a consultant. This can be done on at least two levels:
- Be a business consultant
- Be a consultant for other bloggers
I’m assuming you have experience and expertise outside of blogging; if that’s the case then being a consultant for a business in that niche can be a great indirect way to make money blogging as you can consult for them. On the other hand, if you have a successful blog, then you can consult other bloggers as many would love the opportunity to learn from you how to grow their blog.
Writing for a Business
I discussed freelance writing in another post, and this is taking that idea to the next level. More and more businesses are adding blogs to their sites as they see it as a way to interact with existing clients and attract new ones. Often times, they want to hire the writing of these blog posts out and they generally pay quite well. The ranges vary, of course, but paying up to $2 per word is not unheard of and can be another great option to make money blogging. These jobs are generally not falling from the sky, and they can take some work to locate, but once you do then you’ll be glad you did.
As I’ve said in past posts, it is possible to make money blogging as long as you understand that it does take time to do so. Remember to be patient and always be looking for opportunities as you never know when they’ll present themselves.
